The story of a photographer
Hello there, I’m Kelsie Jo, and I’ve been in the photography business for 14 years! My love for photography began as a young child but grew into a business during my junior year at Southside High School. I’ve been photographing seniors, families, weddings, and special events ever since. I’ve been blessed to receive the title of Best of the Best Photographer in the River Valley for the past 5 years, as well as honored with several photo awards, and chosen to travel the world to photograph weddings. I always strive to make sure my clients are happy and go the extra mile to make sure that what they envision is brought to life through my lens. I specialize in Wedding, Engagement, Bridal, Boudoir, Maternity, Destination Wedding, Family, Children, High School Senior Portraits, Commercial, and Event Photography.
I enjoy bringing fun and exciting things to our community including Santa & Mrs. Claus photo sessions, Family Christmas Tree Farm photo sessions with artificial snow, and even Unicorn, Watermelon, and Fishing photo sessions for the kids!
Photographing weddings is the icing on the cake (see what I did there?). I love getting to know so many amazing couples and being apart of such a special time in their lives. I try not to just be the “photographer” but also be a helping hand, a calm voice, a friend to vent your stress to, and of course someone to fix that strand of hair, lock your veil into place and remind you which leg the garter goes on. Overall, I am just a fun-loving girl that loves to take photos and is TRULY blessed to call it her job!
As much as I love my job, I do have one more job that I love even more and that is being a mommy! I have a handsome 3 year old little boy named Bennett Otto and a beautiful 1 year old baby girl, Karlee Jo. They are my entire world! You may catch glimpses of them on my Instagram because, honestly, I just can't help myself! Their daddy happens to be the love of my life and we've been married for 5 years. My little family is my motivation to continue being the best mama I can be!
